volunteer for the fight against slavery!

Without support from volunteers, Anti-Slavery International would not be able to achieve all that it does. Here are the different ways you can help us in our fight against slavery:

Volunteering: Our volunteers help with all sorts of things from administration to translations to supporting our programme work. The schedule is flexible and we will arrange the days a volunteer comes to the office on an individual basis. Lunch and travel expenses within the London area are provided and volunteers will be treated as part of the team – you will be invited to staff meetings and events and be given the opportunity to represent us at other special events, such as Anti-Slavery Day or our summer festivals’ stalls whilst you are volunteering with us.

Work Experience:  Secondary School students aged 15-19 may apply for short work experience placements of up to two weeks full-time to gain an insight into working in an NGO and an office environment.  You will be able to talk to staff and ask questions to help you decide what career-path you may take in the future.

Anyone interested in applying for a voluntary position or work experience should send a CV and short cover letter outlining the kind of work you would like to be considered for to the email address below. If no position is immediately available you will be notified of upcoming opprutinties for six months.

Internships

From time to time we will advertise paid, full-time internship positions (we do not offer full-time, unpaid internships) on the jobs section of our website.  Unfortunately, we cannot accept unsolicited internship applications. Please see the details above about general voluntary opportunities should you wish to get involved in this way.

Current Vacancies

Volunteer Filipino translator needed. We need help with translating workshop notes into English. Volunteer could come to the office on the day of their choice (we will cover the lunch and travel within London area expenses) but possible to email the notes. Please contact Melissa Ritchie on m.ritchie@antislavery.org.
