In France, women who have fallen victim to enforced domestic labor are struggling to bring their offenders to justice and find comfort after years of toil.One of these women is Marie, whose real name cannot be revealed. She is originally from Dakar, the capital of Senegal, but left her home when she was only 13 years oldOne day, my mother told me not to go to school any more, Marie recalls. I would be going to school in France.

Dreams die hard, United States
Filmmaker Peggy Callahan profiles several people trapped in slavery across the United States. Maria was enslaved as a domestic servant in southern California. Christy and Rose were enslaved in Maryland, where they worked as domestic servants after being taken from their native Cameroon.


Jugando, Aprendo (Learning through playing), Peru
The Jugando, Aprendo project, which is supported by Anti-Slavery International and our partner AGTR, works with child domestic workers within disadvantaged communities in Lima, Peru helping them to ‘learn through playing’. This short film in Spanish shows how child domestic workers around the world can become leaders for other child domestic within their communities.
